Pediatric eye care has increased in its cruciality recently due to the inevitability of mobile devices, tablets, and computers surrounding kids' environment during their developmental stages. The importance of our care stems at ability to prevent children's developmental delays in the visual system and any potential eye related issues evolved from their birth given conditions.

About 2-3% of kids have have a possibility of developing Amblyopia (lazy eye) of some degree which is known to be the most common cause of childhood monocular vision loss. Of course, there are other problems that may have developed since birth, so it is very important to start their vision care early to prevent the chances of permanent vision loss.

Because of their youth, they are the most susceptible to Myopia (nearsightedness) which has been increasing in prevalence over the years. Their younger age allows more time for myopia to worsen, meaning we must pay a big attention of their progression of myopia.

However, that does not mean other ages are not susceptible. By year 2050, 60% of the worldwide population will become nearsighted, meaning it can develop after adolescent years as well.

The eye care we provide for your children reflects the diversity of your adult vision care as well. We offer:

  • eye exams
  • contact lens fitting
  • eyeglass fitting
  • eye disease detection
  • other services

At Bright iCare Optometry, it is our goal to promote visual health for all. We aim to prevent, diagnosis on time, and prescribe treatments early to secure all our patients' safety and comfort.

Here, at Bright iCare Optometry, ourfamily eye care will give you and your child the best vision possible.

Many of these eye diseases can be caught early on with proper treatments to achieve preservation of the best possible vision.

Our purpose during your visit is to achieve eye and visual comfort for you and your family. Every age group has a different susceptibility to certain diseases, making it important for us to frequently check for your symptoms and visual changes. With our team's professional care and experience, any age is welcome to come in for check up, as we will provide the proper age-related care for everyone.

Because of the frequency of electronic device usage in the modern world, almost all of us are impacted by blue light exposure,

which is why they directly and indirectly trigger eye discomfort such as:

  • dry eyes
  • Accommodation disorders in eye focusing
  • fatigue
  • headaches

We want to emphasize that eye exams are crucial for any individuals who frequently use electronic devices, and anyone who has any medical conditions that may lead to changes in their eye condition, but it is equally as important to everyone to come in for preventative measures.
