Contact lenses
Scleral lenses are known to be more therapeutic for those who have corneal irregularities that cannot be corrected by eye glasses. These contacts are meant to provide the best vision outcome for those diagnosed with keratoconus, post-surgical complications from LASIK or RK, corneal trauma, or anyone who might experience related symptoms. Scleral contacts tend to be more rigid and cover a larger area of your eye compared to corneal contacts, so it is a stable option that acts as a barrier from debris, all while staying secure on your cornea.

Orthokeratology, commonly known as Ortho-K contact lenses are hard contact lenses that is meant to temporarily reverse the corneal shape to achieve functional vision without the need of glasses for daytime activities. Ortho-K lenses are worn at night during sleep, and is the most effective when used consistently. These lenses are designed precisely to create an optic that ultimately slows down the progression of nearsightedness while also giving you the best temporary vision throughout the day.

We do a full scope of contact lens fitting and training, but since specialty contact lenses are becoming more popular and beneficial, here are some of the hard contact lens types that we specialize in:
RGP (Rigid Gas Permeable) Contacts
We specialize in multifocal contact lenses and toric lenses fitting, but we also carry that specialty into all types and brands of soft contact lenses that you see commonly. Multifocal contact lenses are typically suitable for people who wish to reduce their dependency on reading glasses. Soft contact lenses are the most popular type of contact lenses but with the current technology, we are able to fit it to a much bigger scope and range of prescriptions, making each one of them tailored towards your individual needs. Misight is also a good example of a new technologically advanced myopic control contact lens aimed to serve pediatrics who are 6 years and older. Based on individual conditions, everyone fits into contact lenses differently. Come visit our office to fit into the one that is best for you!
RGP contacts are hard contact lenses made out of special plastic that allows the cornea to breathe better. This feature makes it the best fitted lenses for patients who are seeking the best possible vision alongside reduced dry eye problems typically associated with wearing soft contact lenses. RGP lenses are also customized towards each patient, meaning they have no limitations on what prescriptions can be made.
